Maritime Waste Collection<\/h1><\/div>

The R\u00f6chling Foundation maintains a long-standing partnership with One Earth, One Ocean (OEOO). OEOO has set itself the goal of developing and implementing a concept for how bodies of water worldwide can be freed from plastic waste, as well as oil and pollutants. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The R\u00f6chling Foundation provided financial support for the construction of the first “Sea Cow,” which provides the non-profit organization with a research and waste collection vessel in the integrated system of the “Maritime Waste Collection.” The R\u00f6chling Foundation also supported the preparation of a feasibility study for the Sea Elephant, a ship on which plastic waste is to be processed into sulfur-free heating oil in an on-board oil conversion plant. The R\u00f6chling Foundation also provided financial support for a project to analyze ocean-bound plastic waste. <\/p>\n
