For example, through effective CO2 pricing, subsidies for recyclates and bio-based plastics, and noticeable bonuses for recyclable materials in the Dual System. In the report by the Circular Economy Initiative Deutschland, &#8220;Closed-Loop Plastic Packaging,&#8221; the authors venture an exciting thought experiment. Solutions from industrialized countries cannot be exported one-to-one to emerging and developing countries. Rather, cooperation at eye level between municipalities, waste collectors and the local recycling industry must be carefully developed under the respective conditions.
