An open-source platform for reuse & refill
Many ReUse and ReFill initiatives struggle with the same challenges: lack of role models, technical hurdles, high start-up costs. The Yunus Environment Hub (YEH), together with the Chilean refill pioneer Algramo, is developing “Open Reuse”, an open, global platform that addresses precisely these issues. It offers practical knowledge, tools, business models, ROI calculators and a community for all those who want to build their own ReUse systems – especially in low-income regions.
Two pilot projects in South Africa and Colombia are accompanying the first test phase. The goal is a toolkit for local stakeholders who want to reduce packaging waste and create economic opportunities at the same time. The platform is open, multilingual and data-driven – a global tool for systemic change.
