From Waste to Raw Material – Can We Achieve the Plastics Turnaround?
March 24, 2021
Everyone agrees that used plastics must be recycled much more consistently. Nevertheless, the proportion of recyclates in global plastics processing is less than 10 percent. Self-commitments by individual industries do not seem to be the solution.
Do manufacturers, processors, users and recyclers need to work together in a completely different way than before? What could a new interaction between product development, manufacturing, marketing and recycling look like in concrete terms? How do we get from value chains to value cycles?
We discussed these and other exciting questions in the first POLYPROBLEM TALK with our talk guests:
Dr. Markus Helftewes, Dagmar Glatz, Dr. Henning Wilts and Frauke Hoffmann
